West Coast Workweek
    Overview Journal

    June 12-15, 2007
    Azusa Pacific University

The West Coast Workweek truly laid the ground work for what has already proven to be a powerful and life-changing summer on the West Coast. This outstanding group of young individuals came together on June 12th.

The West Coast Staff ... with Caylin Coleman...

Tina Arnold, FCC's Program Director, made the journey from Atlanta to run this event, and Blake Myers, FCC's longest running camp instructor/director, met up with her to assist in the process. Together they ran a tight ship, allowing the staffer to be stretched and challenged in many ways! It was an intense few days, covering running a professional, excellent, and most importantly Christ-Centered cheerleading camp.

The group of talented staff came together in true unity, giving the West Coast camps a true model for this summer's emphasis of unity and understanding gifting. They have worked hard to perfect their knowledge of the material, and their understanding of the new additions and changes to the FCC Program. Through their first couple of weeks of camps, it has become clear that they were well-prepared, quick students of the heart of FCC's misison: Christ-Centered Cheerleading Excellence Worldwide.

Staff at the final evening of fun after a long week... Prepared for the new adventures of the summer!

This was, without doubt, the strongest workweek we have had on the west coast. There was a passion for the ministry, a focus on Christ, a burden for excellence, and an obvious use of the unique gifting that God has placed on each individual person's life. And, as a result, the camps on the west coast are the strongest we have had in many, many years.

A special thank you to Azusa Pacific University for hosting the training. Also, thank you to Colleen Kausrud for once again helping take care of our West Coast crew during this week. Also, a big thank you to the Roggemann's who have graciously opened their home to the West Coast staff throughout the summer. Hospitality and caring for the Body of Christ is a calling and a gift... you shine Jesus' love through your actions. Thank you.

We hope you will continue to be in prayer for the FCC West Coast Staff as they will continue to travel many miles over the next few weeks, and be involved in the lives of so many young cheerleaders who are searching and trying to discover how they can be part of "Putting the Pieces Together" in the Body of Christ.  Also, be in prayer for the eternity changing decisions that have already been made at camp… pray for protection and for accountability.  Pray for the commitments of unity made… pray that they will stand the test of time, frustration, and the many distractions which will be – and are already being - faced.  Pray for our leadership on the West Coast. Gavin Moy is doing an outstanding job directing, and Blake is continuing in his powerful servant leadership role. Pray for new leaders to emerge and to accept their uniquenesses and spiritual gifting. We are truly excited about the West Coast Staff and the foundation the outstanding workweek presented for them.

a few extra pictures of Caylin Brook Coleman... :)

Mike Zumpano teaching Caylin to play pool... She's got the uniform, and the energy, ... give her a few years, and she'll probably be at one of your camps... :)
